So the plan is in print. I went through the full application book packet last night and begin maniacally making list after list after list. I am posting these lists here to make myself publicy responsible. To put it out there. To show my true procrastination skills chart my progress. I will mark out tasks as they are completed. And one day in the hopefully not too distant future, I will post the entry we will all be waiting for: Opening Day is _____________!
I am still not completely sure I will have the courage to take this risk when it comes down to it. But I will from here on out have the pressure of the “lists”.
And hopefully some love sent my way from blogland. And don’t forget the encouragement. I need encouraged.
And maybe kicked in the butt a time or two.
So without further ado…. THE LISTS.
THE DOING OF THE LIST:
Here is where I will chronicle the steps I am taking to reach my goal. I plan to record the steps in tens. Baby steps, people. I do not want to overwhelm myself. So here goes:
1. Fill out application and make the directions sheet
2. Call about getting an FEIN number: What are the requirements/cost?
3. Decide on a name.
4. Call about insurance: facts, price, requirements?
5. Call about CPR classes: Where, When, How much?
6. Send in central registry check.
7. Send in Criminal record check.
8. Take computer to Uncle Charlie to fix.
9. Set a date to overhaul the playroom and recruit help
10. Make a list of household needs for dad and discuss a date he can come and help
